Heyo! The Sand Hollow Triathlon was this Saturday. Not gonna lie -- things didn’t go exactly as planned. On the drive to St. George the night before, my car busted. I won’t bore you with the details, but to make a long story short, we didn’t get to sleep until 2:00am that night. When we woke up the next morning, I wussed out and decided I wasn’t up for doing a triathlon on 4 hours of sleep. Jordan, however, was a champ and decided to give it a sleep-deprived shot. A+ trooper.
And he nailed it! The race started with a 750 meter swim in the Sand Hollow Reservoir, followed by a 12-mile bike ride and a 5k run. The weather was toasty but clear, and he polished off the whole thing in under 2 hours. It seemed like a really professional, well-run event and I definitely want to give it a shot next time. (If the Aveo decides to cooperate!)
