For our last hike this weekend, we stayed near Snow Canyon State Park and hiked up Beck Hill. The entire hike was about 5 miles one-way -- we stashed a car at the Johnson Canyon Trailhead, then drove our other vehicle to the Chuckwalla Trailhead. Hiking through is always better than backtracking!
This is one of the few trails in Snow Canyon where dogs are allowed (on a leash,) and we thought it would be fun to explore a new section of the park. Not gonna lie, it wasn't my favorite hike ever -- there were long sandy stretches with mediocre scenery. That being said, there were a couple solid views and tons of lizards, so while I'm not chomping at the bit to hike it again, I think it deserves a blog entry.
