My parents are visiting! This is their fifth time to Utah -- they've come out every winter since I moved here, and they're getting to be desert pros. Still, we always find new places to visit, and this year we decided to head up to our home-away-from-home in Colorado's San Juan mountains. Our wonderful friends Jerry and Diana live in Ridgway, and it was definitely time for everyone to finally meet.
Diana and Jerry know how to show people a good time, and this weekend was no exception. We rode quads, watched climbers at the Ouray Ice Park, and soaked in the hot springs. In the evening we drank wine, told stories, and watched our collective pack of 6 dogs (!!!) create chaos.
After a solid 3-day weekend, we started the drive back home. We made a quick stop to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Most of the roads were closed for the winter, which was kind of a bummer, but we still managed to check out a couple overlooks.
